Building observable distributed systems
10:30 - 11:00
Deploying to production is not the end, it is just the beginning. Having an observable system would enable one to better control it, with a higher degree of confidence when making changes. A lot of progress has been seen in the ways of getting a business requirement implemented into code that’s shippable – using Scrum, doing TDD, having unit tests and a build and deployment pipeline. In the recent years the observability aspect of a software system gained traction in the context of microservices and cloud, as companies started to see the benefit of knowing how the system is behaving in production and being able to better handle it at scale.
In this session we will be looking at why would you want an observable system and how to build it in order to leverage its benefits.
